A poem for my madison

She has long blonde hair that is as soft as lace.

She has baby blue eyes and a middle name of chase.

She smiles and laughs....you just want to hug her until you cant anymore.

She melts my heart, right down to it's core.

She keeps the record of the most kisses ever on me.

Shes hyper and funny and she always begs for a wedgie.

She sings songs with me and when she doesnt know the words, she just moves her mouth.

I'm her favorite jess...one person she really cares about.

Once she said, "I cant leave because im dancing with my jess."

I feel so much love when she falls asleep with her head on my chest.

When her little hand is in mine, i wonder if my hand was ever that small.

But my hand used to be in christys like that, so i wouldnt fall.

I look at madison and i see me, not just because we look the same.

But, becasue i used to be just like her...i know this sounds lame.

But, maddie chaserz i love you and i just want you to see...

that you are my favorite cousin too and in my heart you'll always be.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is really special to me. I wrote this for madison whenever she was about 6 years old. Now, at 11 years old, she still loves it whenever I recite it to her. It means a lot to her
