Where Dreams Find You

Once upon a time, when the sun withdrew its glow,

I closed my eyes and let the darkness consume the light.

Somewhere between the shadows and the stars,

I found you waiting in a field of blinding dust.

In a blank white space where time stood still,

We crossed the distance the world could build.

The dreams we lost gathered like clouds in spring,

And for a moment, we were everything.

But morning arrived in its unforgiving amber,

And scattered what we shared that night.

I searched the void for what the dawn dissolved,

The place where all my silver wishes belonged.

Perhaps some souls are never meant to part,

But find their home in hidden rooms of the heart.

And every night, the same dream comes true;

I close my eyes and find my way to you… again.

Some dreams lead us to the people and possibilities that reality leaves beyond our reach.
