I’m waiting and looking and wanting to hold you

Through your eyes I see you are doing the same

Then once again you mention the reason for distance

You tell me how you need time you mention her name

As I wonder what you’re doing, my mind starts to wander

You’re out with her again, I don’t think it’s fair

How can you say you love me then leave me to see her

What else do I have to do for you to realize that I care?

I’m waiting and looking and wanting to hold you

Though your lips release the reason I’m doing this again

In punishment I wait wondering if ever

You will release me from this undeniable pain

She’s seeing your eyes, brushing your lips

Mine I say not hers to kiss

I know you say this is how it has to be

I can’t help but wonder, am I taking a risk

I’m waiting and looking and wanting to hold you

As you take her in your arms, telling me to be patient

Saying you love me and I will one day be yours forever

I’m left wondering when will it be too late
