Kindred Soul

What's your name, kindred soul?

I've loved you once before

In times of ancient prophecy

In lands of ancient lore.

I've loved you under boabab trees

Where lions proudly roam.

I've loved your soul on restless seas

As I longingly wished for home.

I've loved you once in cosmic fire

And supernatural wind

As we danced around a giant star

in love without an end.

I've loved you once across a sea

Of souls in heaven's light

And swore I then to find you now

And stand beside your side.

I've loved you once without a care

While watching your brown eyes shine.

And I've loved you once in bleak despair

For want to make you mine.

I've loved you once in passion's grip

Like youngest lovers do.

And I've loved you once after seventy years

In love as equally true.

So, what's your name, my kindred heart?

I love you once again

With heart and soul combined in one

In love without an end.
