Born Into Darkness

Brought into this world in pain,

A kick from my makers donation.

A beautiful woman and child wounded,

Both to suffer beyond repair.

Damage to all parts mind and body,

Even before her birth was due.

Sure unknown of the horror to come.

For things very unclear to be.

Remembrance blurry and kept secret,

As time passes pain becomes more severe.

Begging for understanding and reasoning,

Visits to doctors frequent with discomfort.

For even she knows her child’s pain,

Going through the motions of trying to live.

Until reality of a man to unlove thee,

A new name is given to ease the fear,

For the unlove and pain is not beyond control.

A donor to make the child is all there is,

More to come disguised as love-a rape,

A child violated only because love is seeked.

Her virginity taken as darkness appears,

And sent into confusion for all of her life.

Daily comforts to cleanse and repair the damage.

Wishing something or someone will care.

Eventually giving up in a time of study.

Desperately searching for what was taken.

Not realizing that It can never be again.

Turning towards the possibility of love,

And once again shades of darkness fill her up.

Years pass and her efforts are completed,

One step at a time she continues to believe.

There must be something worth living for she prays.

praying with eyes full of tears.

And the question why intrudes her thoughts every second every day.

One day at a time she screams,

For if no one else will love her,

She will love herself.

A promise and pledge to herself that continues to be a main focus.

And until the say I die shall it remain my focus.
