Love Doesn't Have To Hurt

Love shouldn't hurt a single person,

When it is true and just.

The pain of love is all in its lesson,

Even when you and I never think.

Love, not money, should make the world go around,

But many people can't see that.

Even when a precious child is born,

The pain of it is out of love.

Where does the pain come from,

From an open wound from my past.

Why does it continue to be painful,

Because I have yet to find a love that will last.

My hope is high,

And my sigh is low.

But, I can feel that love is out there,

Somewhere without the pain.

Oh my, I may have found it,

In a place beyond my reach.

In a man of honor,

I really hope to keep.

Love doesn't have to hurt.

This I believe in my heart.

If I only I could convince others,

That true love can definately be reached.
