I Have Done

Silly of me for what I have done,

For my heart blinded my mind with love.

One of many moments of realization,

But, not one moment I regret.

You are so very different I now see,

And you wanted the same as I.

Time has passed and you now look beyond me,

At and in a direction that offers you more.

I ask myself so many questions,

And listen and hear you answers to them.

While I would rather leave you,

Rather than you move away and forget me.

I feel as if eventually what you see will outshine me,

But that I shall never want to know.

Lesson never learned if the need to experience vanishes,

No fear of that as the need to grow.

No one person knows the future,

And to risk my heart is a chance I will no longer take.

And if something so fragile becomes healed,

Will I still wonder if what I have done was right.

But if you shatter the inside of me,

Still I will be glad to be apart of your life.
