Elegy For B (Deceased July, 1999) And C (Who Still Loves Him)

[after Matthew 7:1; Mark 11:26; Colossians 3:13; John 5:22]

Having made waste of much of life and many hours,

so that I craved and needed Christ's gracious Salvation,

I have in His Kingdom neither neither right nor vocation

to question your relationship nor to begrudge

you the delights and comforts of blooming romance---

not in this world and not in any circumstance.

Our Lord does not save us for this, nor give permision

to such:  in fact, it is a negative condition

He states, upon my own forgiveness in good standing;

regardless of some others' self-righteous demanding.

The consequence I leave to my Savior's decision;

nor has he delegated to me His own powers

of judgment, nor named me as His assistant judge.

My own life still requires my focused concentration.

Starward
