Quod me nutrit me destruit

(Latin for "What nourishes me also destroys me")

I feed on you like one so hollow

And with a devil's laugh

Your hand extends to caress

This throat of mine that screams

Beseechingly in agony.

Make haste,

Seed unto me my nourishment

Oh beautiful mercy

Poisoned by elixirs

Of wondrous words

Enraptured

I ravenously lick each syllable

From your silken tongue.

Seductively sinful

Slaying and enslaving is your verse

So nourishing and ravishing

My absolute manna

As night ages, I await you

Famished, with barely lucid eyes

I sublimate, bone deep in suffering

Holding my breath

Wanting to be steeped with your life

Just one breathed word

Awakens my dormancy

The essence in my veins

I shiver with need,

Make haste.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Just one whispered word from your mouth, even just a simple hello .. it is my undoing.
