On The Horizon

The sun rises

To reveal the sight

Once long ago

There was a most bloody fight

Death rained down

Upon the city below

Now nothing's left

For us to go

Lost and homeless

We hear the call

To the west

We hope not to fall

So few remain

From two years before

Cut down to three

Hold back Death's Door

The shadows dance

As we walk on

Laughing it off

Surrender to none

Did you think we would crumble

Did you think we would fall

Though we are few

We refuse Death's call

Continue to walk

Into this night

Destruction seen

With every sight

Ruined cities

Burn through the night

Too numb to be fazed

We ignore the fright

On the horizon

A light does glow

What it is

We can not know

Walk toward

We move along

All the time singing

A forgotten song

As we arrive

We see the day

Hoping forever

They stay at bay

Shadows dart

Around no more

Fallen creatures

No longer soar

A town stands

A tree does grow

We found people

for us to know

They walk to us

To greet our way

We've finally found

A place to stay
