Yet [*/+/^] : 27.225 MHz, Some Final Measures; Poem After 1 Timothy 1:15, Job 19:25 And 1 Thessalonians 2:12

Through my own spiritual incompetence,

I am a failure---flawed and faulty.

Yet, believing in faith, and aware of my need for a Savior,

I know I have been saved and redeemed because

my Savior never fails, nor is He flawed or faulty.

Sin, like roughly fashioned jailhouse shivs

cuts into me, seeking to imprison me in death,

and cause to my spirit an incessant strife.

But I know and believe, with every breath,

that my Resurrected Savior  triumphantly lives,

and I know how much sin is mine, and that He forgives

it all and has called me unto eternal Life,

unto ages of ages with Him:

and this is no mere wishful thinking, nor frivolous whim.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The poem I intended to write consisted of the first four lines, unrhymed, as they now appear.  The remainder of the poem followed rapidly, and I feel that both parts, the unrhyme and rhymed are to be retained just as the poem was given (yes, given:  I do not believe I wrote this as much as I received this from my Redeemer).
