@ 27.055 MHz: Ad Astra; Song Of A *Well* Infatuated Choirmaster

What woman have I ever seen

as breathtakingly beautiful as you?

Of course you may sing in the choir, regardless

of that provocative cascade of long hair and a build

achieved with much swimming in the Isis.

No need to worry about wearing shoes:

I know your dislike of them, and we both resent

the discomfort to you that they represent.

The robe's long hem, when you wear it, nearly

touches the floor and almost conceals the

beauty of your feet in those long tights,

softly opaque tights, that you like to wear.

No, I am not ashamed to love you this way;

nor care what certain whisperers might say.

I am not ashamed of you, or of us, in the least.

We love according to our souls' given natures

despite the intrusions of prudes and haters,

who object to our coupling and to the difference of our years.

We shall not stoop to admit or acknowledge the fears

they wish to cause, but cannot reach our shared days and nights.
