On that Friday night in July, 1974,
my Lord called me to rise and step outside the door
to look upon His sky---in its grandeur, like a revelation.
He called me by my name, without derogation;
He called me by my own name, I was called, by Christ Whom I adore.

After the event, I was too immaturely ignorant to make note of the date: 5th, 12th, 19th, or 26th.
This happened during the summer following the most terrible year of my compulsory education, my sophomore year, during which the verbal bullying was far worse than a physical beating. This verbal bullying, and all forms of bullying, ceased for me during that summer, of course, and did not resume in any form for the next two years.
This was also two years before J-Lore helped me to find Starwatcher has my first handle (which would now be a screen name).
