I see the new you

it's pulling me backwards

a rising regret

of everything that went on

and seeing your face now

it's showing me pathways

to everything I could have been

and if I pulled back the hands of time

would anything change at all

and even if I changed your mind

it would just be our second time to fall

pulling me backwards

your words are echoes

inside of this hollow heart of mine

dreams without sound

are all that surround

they have become of me

everything's different

my eyes have turned gray

all that's before me has become rusty

nothing gold can stay

I feel the new you

it's pulling me backwards

you make me see who I want to be

so look in my eyes now

bring back the color

because I know your spirit

will set me free

the taste of your skin

still haunts me within

and I'm lost in a moment that's

so far away

the shape of your lips, well

that's quite a story to tell

I kissed them

and left them behind

how can I change this

why did I break this

I just need to rewind

how do I do this

nobody knew this

would happen.. to everything

everything.. is pulling me back in time
