Candle
the heat of the dripping candle
so hot almost too hot to handle
the flame has been burning
as intense as the sun
but it's been burning too long
soon it's life with be done
but this candle has light up my nights
what emotion it holds
within flickering lights
the constant changing
molding of the wax
just having it there
makes it easier to relax
but all great things must come to an end
and there will be another candle for me to light
will it warm me the way my first did
only if the time is right
