Book 3

When you came into this world I was lost

I found laughter and tears came from me.

I thought that feeling would never be found.

You made a father out of me.

What I wish to show you is how I see you.

For you are my pride and joy in life.

Your mother is a special person to you too.

For you I will endure pain and strife.

I cant wait to show you this world

This place we shall make and call home.

I hope to take you around and show you as much as I can of this world

We will be a family and have a new home.

I still dream of the first time I saw you sleeping.

You held onto my hand, and slept so long.

Even when you were an egg-roll sleeping.

You were so peaceful, a dream to my sleep.

Soon you will grow up and show me a new world

A world filled with pride full of joy.

But your mother will have to show you that world

For I must enjoy hearing your voice full of youthful joy.

I am waiting and biding my time

So that way when I am all done we will be a family

Full of joy and pride, watching you grow with time

Making me and your mother a joyful family.

Soon I will be with you for nothing can hold me from you

For you are my little girl. My angel of life.

I cant wait to see your smiling face, better yet just to hold you.

And have you fall asleep on me once again, to hear your heart beat with life.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I really don?t care how others will think of this poem, but for those who know me they should understand what I mean about not caring how it is read. For this father she will always be there for me. My daughter.
