My Tender Friend

Looking at you is a bless

Listening to you is a joy

Losing you

Is a tragedy

That tends to destroy my brain

In my imagination

I saw me like a stubborn hero

Surfing the world

Looking for you

But soon get tired

to return back home

****

To imagine that you suddenly

Descended from the unknown

To share me my bottle

Or a cup of coffee

And watch TV with me

I saw you listening to what I say

While I was reading the legends

And absorbing

The symphony in your wide eyes

We spoke to each other at the same time

Alright,

That is what lovers do most of the time

You were trying your best to rhythm

While I was spending my mind to rhyme

***

The next lovely morning

And before

I open my eyes

I felt like hugging you

Kissing you

Expressing my love to you

In a warm way

But you didn't sigh

As I expected you to do

When I opened my eyes

I discovered that you are

Nothing but a pillow!

***

I spent last night

Flirting with a pillow

***

I looked at the face of the pillow

And as if I read in it:

Life is a dream

And no matter what you do

You will never get anywhere

So, enjoy your

Books, booze, songs

And when you get the fatigue

come to sleep

With your old friendly tender pillow.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Now, if you don't mind, I would like you to share with you one of my aunt's songs.

Later, I will tell you why I call her Aunt. Later, I hope to have the time to adapt the Arabic lyrics of the song to English. It's a very romantic poem with a bit of historical spices (if I can say so). It's a lovely poem. Do you think I would like anything that is not a high quality? Do you think I have a bad taste?
