Interlude

In the evening time

As stars begin to shine

It is a favorite of mine

With my woman so fine.

Sitting in a front porch swing,

Talking ‘bout everything

Hearing the crickets sing

And creatures of the night take wing.

We swing away the hours in each others arms,

While sampling each other’s charms

Feeling safe from all harm,

Such is our life here on the farm.

Our time is nigh time to go in,

Here come the white coated men

To resist we cannot win,

As they take us back to our cells my friend.
