Our Time'
Time takes from us what we cherish so dear, the best of what we had
I remember how we could not speak a word without wanting more
Times we spend on a plane of never ending curiosity
So many days we laughed and knew of each other more than anything
To go back and take that which is ours, to hold so close what we once had
Make a new place where we would always be together and never lose time
Where we can laugh and enjoy our conversations, make every moment count
We shared so much in so little time, a heart opened for one another
You remind me of how we said so much with not one word spoken, a real truth
How we had what so many wish they could, but how we weren’t able to keep it
I always dream of those nights, evenings of candles burning and joyful bliss
Sitting alone thinking of you on the other end, tear filled eyes caring for you
Looking through the window, wondering what you were doing, speaking to you
We would listen and have nothing said, answer and not a question asked
Two lives now knowing each other so well, these days bring tears to my eyes
They ended so interrupted and quickly, a time we said things never before told
Brief history of what a friendship now is, a true reality of souls sharing life
Changes have come to pass, but life is always on a verge of something new
Ideas of whom we are and have become, a feeling so strong I can’t control
What started out in one direction now follows a different road to destiny
I hold what we had and what we will have so dearly, a time changing experience
When I see you I know it’s a real person I hold so close to my heart, a real friend
I miss what we could have had, but love what we share and will be able to have
You own a piece of my heart and of my life I am more than happy to give, take it
