ONE RAINY NIGHT

ONE RAINY NIGHT
One night
the skies
began
to darken.

Thunder
crashed
lightening
flashed.

The wind
blew
violently,
disturbing
the calm.

Within a
heart was
was being
twisted.

Tearing
apart.

Too many
clouds,
too much
rain
had fallen.

A connection
was breaking
up, not to
be repaired
again.

When the
sun finally
appeared,
it was late.

The damage
had already
taken place.

No, nothing
would ever
be the same.
