MY LIFE STORY (6)

MY LIFE STORY

In the tender of your touch,
Endearing moments, a quiet hush,
Forever more, even today,
Endless warmth, extending this
way
The essence of me, complete as such,
From the tender of your touch.

I was in seventh heaven. He rocked
my world.

As weeks turned to months, and months
turned to years, a beautiful little girl
came forth.

A cherub resting, snuggled in bed,
Ringlets surrounding a tiny head,
Awaiting sandman, counting sheep,
In god's presence, may she sleep.

But something was amiss,
The drummer boy began to lose
his charm.

Our house started to need repair,
Like running a comb thru it's hair.
Weathered walls began to yell,
Plaster from the ceiling fell.

When wanting out, just can't wait,
Quickly slipping thru the gate.
In the twinkling of an eye,
Penetrating the northern sky.
