I awaken in a cold sweat

Reaching next to me for something that is no longer there

It's just a cold spot

Empty sheets

I roll over to the side you used to consume

Thinking back to the last time you filled it

It's been a long time

I'm feeling the emptiness

The room is so dark

Even with the sun shining through the shades

My eyes shut out the light

I want to hide here till you return

Will you ever return to me?

Will we ever be able to build again?

Will I ever feel whole again?

Come back, be here, fill this empty space..
