What You Do For Me

A cherry blossom on the breeze

That floats and drifts and twirls with ease

As off the branch its gently teased,

This is what you do for me.

Ripple on a placid lake

Lilies, reeds, and willows shake,

As in your hand my hand you take

This is what you do for me.

A castle in a grain of sand

A desert at thine hearts command

Tranquil flows the dunes unmanned.

This is what you do for me.

A glint, a glance a softened gaze

Upon the rising of the day

That, even my heart, does it sway.

This is what you do for me.

Shadows pinned against a wall

Listening, waiting as I stall

For in your grace Ive got it all.

This is what you do for me.

A blade of grass, a universe

My mind, my heart, my soul traverse

As in your eyes the world conversed.

This is what you do for me.

The night, begot by setting sun

Whispers tie my languid tongue

As finished, here, where Ive begun.

This is what you do for me.

You make me simply wish to be

Exist and live on land and sea

And soon, I pray, that you will see

That all of this you do for me.
