Untitled #2

Gentle rolls the sound of thunder

Leaves tremble in ferocious winds.

Water churns and boats are tossed

People, idle, with quivering eye

Stand and watch a levy bust

And a city break in two.

The force of God tossed man asunder

Broke his will, and broke his binds

And his most desperate hour caught

While stealing, raping, and left to die.

All he asked was for our trust

Man shook his head and He knew.

Like Sodom and Gomorrah's blunder

Stuck like tines in America's side.

For here another lesson taught,

When man sits idle by,

The devils hands into us thrust

And with a hurricane he starts anew.
