Silent Screams

DARKNESS IT ENTICES ME,AN ENDLESS SPURGE OF PAIN

AN ENDLESS SCREAM RELEASED FROM MIND

A WILDERNESS OF TORMENT POURING DOWN A DEEP BLACK RAIN.

CLOSENESS IS AT DISTANCE, WHILE DISTANCE HAS GROWN NEAR.

I'M LEFT WITH NOTHING TO MY SOUL

BUT MY OWN IMMORTAL FEAR.

IN THE DARK, ALL MINDS GO BLANK.

THOUGHTS,AND LOVE,AND ALL THINGS TRUE

ARE RIPPED FROM THINE OWN AND ALL MADE RANK

NO HOPE OR CHANCE TO START ANEW.

THE THICKNESS OF THE SHADOW, LIKE OIL IN OUR HEARTS

IS PUMPED THROUGHOUT OUR VEINS AND SOUL

THUS THE CROW DESTROYS THE LARK

AND THUS WE PAY OUR TOLL.

ECHOES IN OUR MEMORY, THE SCREAMS OF SILENCE PAST,

THEY MOVE THROUGHOUT OUR MIND IN WAVES

AND THEN THE SILENT SCREAMS DIE DOWN AND STOP DEAD IN THEIR TRACKS.

WE ALL MUST PAY OUR TOLL FOR DARKNESS

WE OPEN OUR SOULS DOOR.

EVIL COMES TO EVIL, AND OUR SOULS ARE OURS NO MORE.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem came to me in the middle of a class, and I missed alot of it writing it. Seems dark but look beyond the words and enjoy.
