A Fool's Paradise

A fool's paradise is where all his hopes and dreams lay unbroken,

Not yet tarnished by those who destroy them.

For in this paradise , the fool is king

And the world bows at his feet.

It is his and his alone to command and conquer.

But the day shall come when the king is unseated,

What is truth shall come crashing down around him.

Gone is the magic and optimism,

All that is left in its place is confusion and heartache.

For when the king realizes that all was an illusion,

The king is just as commo as those around him,

A pauper in what was once his paradise.
