poem_237_Go_On

You say now you are leaving,

Obviously just seething

Because you think you’re hurting me.

I’ll call you everyday,

While you are away

To prove that I’m not hurting.

I’ll show you through my voice

That in this, your choice

The pain was not your burden.

I’ll go on with my days,

And all my normal ways,

So you know, you haven’t hurt me.

I’ll put into action

This verbal faction

To show you I’m okay.

You can not ignore these,

Truth-filled decrees,

So STOP blaming yourself.

For all in the end,

As you sit and pretend,

You know that you will miss me.
