poem_219_Use_To

I look at him now

His experimental things

A foreign monster

Is all that it brings

I looked at him then

His handsome physique

Especially when

He was merely a geek

The glasses he wore

The dragons he cherished

But he has changed now

The old Gerald’s perished

The one that I loved

The one that I wanted

And all these things

I’ve recently confronted

‘Cause now he shows

And wears this disguise

To help him see girls

Who simply look at guys

His personality’s great

The inside aspect fine

But others judge on looks

So he dresses to malign

If others don’t like him

For the outward appearance

Then to know the true him

He doesn’t give a clearance

But no matter my words

No matter my action

He’ll never realize

My loving attraction

He claims he wants someone

To love him for being

Who he is entirely

Not just for what they’re seeing

The person he’s seeking

Yet does not see

Is someone who’s loved him

That person is me
