poem_180_As _the_Wind_Blows

Of many days

I have danced

Through rustled leaves

The wind entranced

I have sung along

Many times before

Gaily with the wind

Spreading song with soar

I have scaled mountains

Went through many feats

To be with my wind

Escaping to nature retreats

It has taken me to places

I never could have thought

It has wisped me to paths

That have never been sought

It has swirled around me

With tickles to rip seams

It has caressed me in ways

I’ve only had in my dreams

With warm currents

Relaxing my soul

And cooler ones

Perking a stroll

As much as I wish

To claim it as mine

I know the wind travels

Doing so with intertwine

I know the wind is for all

It goes where it goes

And sadly must learn to share

As the wind blows
