poem_184_Buddha

The more that they slander

Me as the name

I smile, give gratitude

Takin’ bad karma from my game

World peace coming through

Follow along with me

Have faith in my vow

Soon enough you’ll see

Strong, like a deep rooted tree

Brave, like a lion’s roar

Overcoming, like the swamp-water lotus

Forever-living, like the phoenix’s soar

We’ll fight along together

Many in body; one in mind

Helping everyone as we go

For the enlightenment we’ll find

Trudging through that 12th day

To see over that hill

Where the moon will shine bright

As we bask and fulfill

From Pioneers to the youth

Taking with me the members

Ready to rekindle

Those Gakkai embers

Like new house plumbing

The dirty water must run first

And before the clear water comes

You must rid of the worst

Step by step

Through human revolution

For man-kind as a whole

We go into a better resolution

You know how we roll

Chanting for some peace

To end the world’s suffering

And make the hate just cease

I am a Buddha

I possess the spirit

Shout out loud

Let everyone hear it
