Acquiescent Peace

Awoken from a dreamless sleep
Sweet, contented, peaceful sleep
I stayed awake smilingly,
While lying still between warm sheets
Stretching limbs and yawning softly,
As I gently scratched my Lemmy's neck.

In a luxury of idle moment
I mused upon of a beautiful friendship
Curiously pondered, where its sunset ruminates.
In lying still, contemplation entered my mind
Thinking how sometimes the world is true and kind.
When fine crystal friendship is heaven sent.

In lieu of bright sunrise that didn't beam,
A milky morning sky is at its seam;
Upon my back looms the dome of gloom;
Relents its sorrow to release its doom.
Even if the weather isn't so fair
My day is full of wonders and good cheers!

Yes, beautiful friendship always ends
A day with night thoughts to cherish on.
Wond'ring whatever things the day may bring
With thankful hearts in us surround.
Until sleep once more claims its rest
And day is over with acquiescent peace.

A stormy day with relentless heavy pelting of rain, our Autumn concluding season.
