Hilltop Daydream

I pictured my hand in yours today

And the ehtereal sensation

Of palms intertwined.

You were so close.

On school walkways

Trekking with me.

Turning all my jokes into smiles

And greeting passers by

With your heart.

Upon one more look

It came to be.

At last, the final lock

Had come free,

And unleashed thick air into me.

Rocks turned diamonds

At our gaze.

I didn't know it

But fixating eyes on you

Brought about a luminous haze.

"Come sit atop that grassy hill

with me,

devoid of shade.

Let's flirt with the Sun

today..."
