Skeletal

A skeleton

Sends bone whispers

Decaying

Before they touch

You.

Lingering

In the air

Throughout

A thinning timeline.

Weary.

Broken down.

Ignored

Until his body

Withered

All around

And his

Carcass

Melted

To the ground.

Now a

Femur,

Tibia,

Some capitate,

Sternum,

Incus

Thinly strung

By most basic

Skele-frame.

Ulna,

Mandible,

A zygomatic cry,

And a

Skull,

Some eye sockets

Where

His thoughts

Escape through.

Withered. Withered.

Just a hardened

Fragment

Of his past.

No veins

To carry blood

Throughout

A reddened

Heart.

No brain

To dissect

All the love

Within a cloud.

Just

A skeleton

Sending bone whispers

Decaying

Before they touch

You.
