Feel so much pain

How can a heart so young

Have a soul so old

How can a heart so young

Be so bruised

How can a heart so young

Be so broken

My heart is young,

But its broken in two

All the pieces are shattered

Bleeding onto the floor

A heart so young,

So Niave,

Yet so bold

Not able to trust another

Not able to let love in

Watching life fly by

Sitting on the sidelines

Scared to take that leap

Always wondering

What lies underneath
