You were once a bird,

Thrown in a cage,

Never promised to be set free

Thought you’d be trapped for eternity,



You were just a girl,

Trapped inside a life,

Bound by chains so tight

and you thought you’d never be set free



You were just an innocent animal,

Stuck outside on a leash,

To bark or meow at all the passerbys

knowing you’d would never be set free



But finally,

You break the chains

and escape from your cage

You are free to run wild
