I don't need something to drown out the misery

because with you by my side

I feel for once that everything is alright



With you I don't need the knife

To cut away the pain

I don't need to release the hurt

I now embrace the rain



With you I don't need something to erase the past

because it just washes away

and I know I will be okay

As long as by my side, you will always stay
