Thought you were my angel, sent from above

The one sent to give me some love

You were a miracle to me

You were there through everything

The good, the bad and in between

I found a safe place in your arms

and a warmth from your eyes

I believed that you were different,

but you were nothing but lies

in the end you proved to be just like the rest

I thought you were the one, and I could not settle for any less

But soon the glow faded from the skies

and I saw the truth

Everything you said before had no proof

You brought some sort of joy to my heart

But it only lasted temporarily

When you were gone

That joy would fade

and I wonder how that made it love
