I believe I'm worth it

a moment of your thoughts

a second to sit

or play the parts

to think of me as special

to hold me close to you

maybe a hidden glance

or a perfect day for two

I'm not saying give me the world

or even to be true

all I really need

is a simple I love you



sometimes I feel alone

unloved and so afraid

to have to walk around

without thanks being paid

I know I'm not the best

or even number one

I do believe I'm worth it

that I can be some fun

time spent with me

i never think a waste

for I will always love you

but please, come with haste



I dont know how long I can go

without a love so great

to think I can go much further

well... maybe I can wait



sitting here and thinking

of what I know is you

believing you are special

which always leaves me blue

because you will not love me

couldn't even if you tried

but somehow there is hope

though locked so deep inside



all I ask is your attention

if only for a few

to tell you "I am special"!

special just like you

maybe we deserve

a second to look deep

a minute to reflect

on what we have to keep

we could have something

so very few can say

we will love each other

until another day
