Child Of Kindness

(Written 3~9~04)

She was a light-hearted baby,

Smothered by a bubbled lie.

Watching through laughter filled eyes,

While her heart kissed the sky.

Pain but a word,

Little meaning to the young.

World an exploration,

Even when the bees always stung.

It wasn’t meant to last,

Not for someone so light.

Ignorance in learning,

Making her too weak to fight.

She was a lonely little girl,

Smothered by a bubbled lie.

Watching through tear soaked skies,

While the days passed her by.

Listening to raindrops melancholy pour,

Watching even nature shut her out.

Not quite understanding cruelty,

Desperation her silent shout.

Climbing the echoes,

Seeking acceptance in her voice.

A place in the world for a moment,

Though she never had a choice.

She was a troubled teen,

Smothered by a bubbled lie.

Watching through tear soaked eyes,

While her heart said goodbye.

Daylight shadows casting illusions on the walls,

Moving towards the shattered glass.

Hold back the lingering demons,

Make the light forever, make it thick enough to patch.

Calling her name,

In the taunts of dreams.

Nothings ever simple,

Never quite what it seems.

She was a beautiful woman,

Smothered by a bubbled lie.

Watching the others die,

While her heart caught her eye.

Living in the moment,

Forgetting the past.

Holding on to the present,

Praying that it would last.

Shadows held at bay,

Windows strong with her hardened mind.

Change the hardest lesson,

Even to those born kind.
