For the chance .....of one last hurrah.
To redeem ones existence .
To make just a difference,
In the eyes of him above.
Too do a bit good......
Play a pirate, a good guy, ,
perhaps even ......
Robin Hood!
One last achievement in life.
Before God, yer mates ,
the kids, and the wife.
Where the playing fields' level.
Where the teams are all even,
And as the great game life ,draws
to an end.
The crowd rises,and cheers ,
one last........Hurrah!
