Secrets

I used to be so open. So forthcoming with all my secrets. But it's like the door closed on my fingers. My heart throbbing with the burden of keeping all this pain inside.



Sometimes I sense the words on the tip of my tongue. Like the secrets are begging to spill out. But I have no one to hear them. So instead I swallow them up until, slowly, they begin to eat up my insides.
