She was a rough draft

riddled with mistakes,

an idea conceived in

the minds of those

who expected nothing

less than excellence.



What started out as an

outline brimming with

good intentions turned

into a poorly-sketched

depiction of the truth,  

leaving her ego indented.



Edited so many times,

the original objectives

were scratched out;

the argument for her

existence had been

erroneously omitted.  



Now, composed of

a stack of failed tasks

and deemed of low

quality, she became  

a jumble of nonsensical

nouns and verb tension.



Pressured to be more

than she ever could be,

she was kept down with

a heavy paperweight

of predisposed inability

that left her edges torn.



A disappointment from

the first time pen dared

to trace the naked page.

She was not good enough

to be completed; her

ending remained blank.



She could never be the

perfected final version

they wanted her to be

so they crumpled her up.
