Hold too tightly

When we should just
Give it a nudge
And let it go,
Let it find its way
Back to us.
We shouldn’t
Push it too hard
So that it gains
Too much momentum
And goes out of control.
It’s then that
Those good things leave us
Because while we were
Just trying to nudge it forward,
We ended up pushing it away.
