The fragments of frozen hearts
Too often blistered by blizzards,
Frostbitten by bitter heartbreak.
Snow is thawed.
The particles of the palpable past
Begin to melt in a melancholy pace,
Molting away memories of misery.
Snow is liquefied.
Ice dissolves as
A candle is lit.
Fire is sparked.
The kindling flames are fed by love,
The ignited flare starts intensifying.
Incinerating remnants of insecurity.
Fire is doused.
A raging wildfire of love is smothered;
The sweltering heat becomes scorched,
Smoldering with subtle traces of smoke.
Embers ascend.
