I May Not Really Fathom

This very evening, I saw someone weeping,
And I didn't know why she was crying;
Last night, a boy died while he was sleeping,
And his family saw no symptoms of him dying.

Months ago, America found a dictator in a hole,
And what had to say was to be kept silent;
For various years, people tried to reach their goal,
When they didn't succeed, they'd become violent.

I may not really or truly fathom
Why there are calamities and so many,
But I know that these generations have them;
Someone said "It's not human nature without any."

I'm going to help alter that starting toinght,
With the lady I saw crying, I'm going to comfort her,
Because no one triumphs alone in any fight;
I have the tissue to wipe the sad tears for her.

I shall continue in the future with tomorrow,
If I live and breath to see that beautiful day;
I shall contribute to end someone's sorrow,
Because I believe things could be better than okay.

From a homeless animal to a disabled person,
I am going to share my time to those with hope;
No one or nothing is hopeless and it would not worsen
If one believes in hope of dynamics and how to cope.

You can start with a simple smile;
That goes a very long way
And make things seem worthwhile;
You can make joy from a long day.

I may not really fathom, but I understand;
With comprehension, one can correct a wrong;
There is not anything that is done underhand,
When you try to help another find a way to get along.

Help me help you,
And another will help you help them;
To perservere all the way through
A hard day after many have left them.
