Wrestling cards

were always fun

there’s always plenty

of obnoxious fans

that make me feel secure

about my position

in the community

bloodshed, steel chairs

brass knuckles, barb wire

Yeah, it’s a bloody good time

as a British chap might say

totally brainless activity

designed to rile us up

chant obscenities

and scream for blood

taint for the faint hearted

and indeed,

it is shameful,

an educated man like me

cheering and jeering

for real life cartoon characters

but hey man,

I gotta have my fun

and one way or another

I intend to scream, shout

and get totally primal

for about 3 hours

I have the other 165 hours

of each week

to spend my tine

being a genteel, couth

and sensitive guy
