TREE OF WOE
hanging
in the tree of woe
and not much
is looking very good
from this angle
the world
is spinning
out of control
and I’m getting lost
in all this haze
well, a few things
ain’t so pleasant
from this point of view
the dark side
isn’t the far side
but it could be better
than it is now
I take the punches
and roll on the kicks
as I remain helpless
to the onslaught
attacked from all sides
things really
don’t look so good
from here
they say
it’s all perspective
but I’m certainly
not buying into
any of that shit
