COME MY SWEETHEART

Come my sweetheart

Come my child

with me to walk along

the wild side of life

Reach out for my hand;

take the plunge into night

and see stars twinkle bright

in the glow of midnight’s fire

fingers entwined in grip of passion

we see the auto pirates ransack

the highways of Heaven & America

but in the emerald eyes of day

we have together bound our night

in the sweet embrace of seraphim;

the dance of cheetahs thru

the treeds and bushes of dense jungle

No, the night is not too dark

nor the day too bright to see

The ebony bottle of brew sits still

the moments of intrigue to be

The asterisks of the fiery dawn

sets siege over the morning sky

and together embracing the sun

we seek approval from the light

We have drifted off course of right

We have bent the meters ticking

like an alarm clock on the street

but we have always survived

the onslaught of sudden consciousness

The orison danced aloud in lust

entrenches itself in the depths of mind

the soul is arisen and endless trances

of the dare do persist again

The spoken wilderness and the days

of yore are recklessly abandoned

but the dreams flit under wings

and stay aflight and on course
