I wish I could

I wish I could hold you close

and tell you that it will be okay.

I cannot but I wish I could

so I could make you feel better.

I wish I could hold you

and calm the emotional storm inside you.

I know I cannot do that

but just make you feel calmer.

I wish I find the words

to say to calm you and make it okay.

I wish I could

but I know I cannot do that anymore.

I wish I could…

I only wish I could.
