Listen up, y'all need to get it together

cause every year you'll see it more

us ladies realize you're not that valuable

you're not a luxury we wanna pay for

we don't need you to bring in the bread

beacuse we're workin 9 to 5 ourselves

and we can survive raising the kids

I saw my moms raise me with no help

self sufficient and getting the job done

baby, I ain't ya mama

It's on you to make sure you're clothed and fed

your lack of resources is a personal problem

all you see is my ass and chest?

well women don't spread their legs for boys

and you're not necessarily for the pleasure factor

ever since that beautiful blessing of sex toys

I bring my own deck of cards to the table

so I don't need you to be my king

I've learned to play Life to win

though you was dealt a better hand than me

let me break from my tirade

and give you a chance to make it known

what's the value of a man....

when I can do good on my own?

you know we've gone through this many times

why do you allow dark clouds

to blanket your sunshine, and hold grudges

like it's your last dollar

your beefs are legit, and it's the same shit

but why generalize these eyes? This species?

I appreciate more than just the history and biology

which empowers men to where they need to be

the good men are intact

but it's the bad ones you attract

although I was raised without the father figure

momma never filled my head with him as a "no-good n****"

was elevated and molded to paint a newer picture

and fall in love with the ideal woman

like the soil and water that's needed in our life

and to build kingdoms and make her my wife

why fight the fight when your heart's not right

and when the time is right, you will see the light

you got a nasty disposition

every man you're dismissing

the real love in you is missing

selfishness is your only tradition

why let society win us over from every bad experience

from heavy boozers, dead beat losers, spouse abusers

to strong supporters, like bridges over water

raising sons and daughters

so break down those borders

and be cautious of the wrong ones

cuz the real men you chased away

will be there for you in the long run
